he is christian but we i just don't know what particular sect he is part of/what kind ofchristian.... christians have different sects, just like catholic christian, they have almost the same principle, teachings and faith but there are some symbolisms, traditions and little principle differ them from each other.....because of some issues within the religion, which is christian, so it branch out in different sects .... 作者: lingling888 時間: 2010-3-25 23:46
christians are those who believe and follow christ's teachings. christians can belong to various religions or sects like orthodox, protestants.catholics,born again and many more. the common factor is the belief in jesus' (christ) teachings. there are differences in beliefs and practices in other things.
christians are trinitarians : other than believing in jesus christ, they also believe in the father,and the holy spirit.
catholics have their pope as head of their catholic church . catholics promote devotion to jesus' mother ,mary and their saints . in addition to the bible , catholics observe traditions as part of their teachings. these are some of the differences of catholicism from other religions.
in addition to jesus, van also mentions the father and the holy spirit in his
